Douglas A. Hicks announced he will be concluding his term as °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê’s provost and dean of the faculty at the end of this academic year.

The Sigma Chi fraternity at °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê will be suspended for a five-and-a-half-year period, according to a decision announced today by President Jeffrey Herbst. Last October, the fraternity was found to be in violation of the university’s Hazing Policy, the Student Organizations Relationship Statement, and the Code of Student Conduct.

°ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê President Jeffrey Herbst today announced that he has decided not to seek renewal of his contract when it concludes on June 30, 2015. The 16th president of °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê, Herbst has held the office since 2010. Professor of History Jill Harsin will serve as interim president during the search for Herbst’s successor.
