Hamilton, NY — A group of °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê students who have been trained and sworn in by U.S. Census officials are available to help any Hamilton area residents needing assistance with filling out their Census 2000 forms. Through April 8, Questionnaire Assistance Centers have been set up at the Hamilton Public Library and the °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê Student Union to offer help on the Census forms free of charge.
The official volunteers will be available at the Hamilton Public Library Monday and Wednesday evenings from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., and on Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. They will also be available at the °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê Student Union in the first floor conference room on Tuesday and Thursday nights from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. The students, who are volunteering their time to assist with the Census 2000, are all enrolled in a course with Professor of Geography Ellen Kraly titled ‘Population Issues and Analysis.’
