COLGATE UNIVERSITY ANNOUNCES TOP GRADUATES IN CLASS OF 2002

Hamilton, NY — Stentor Danielson is valedictorian, and Rachel Nacht is salutatorian of the °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê graduating class of 2002. °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê’s commencement ceremony will be held on Sunday, May 19.

Danielson, who is from Palmerton, Pa., majored in geography and sociology/anthropology and was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. He will graduate summa cum laude with high honors in geography and with honors in sociology/anthropology. Nacht, of Englishtown, N.J., majored in Japanese and French, was elected to Phi Beta Kappa, and will graduate summa cum laude.

°ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê Interim President Jane Pinchin will award 704 bachelor’s degrees during °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê’s 181st commencement exercises on Sunday afternoon. Emmy award-winning journalist Charlie Rose will deliver the address during the 1:30 ceremony adjacent to Taylor Lake (in Sanford Field House in case of rain). Rose also will receive an honorary doctor of letters degree from °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê.
