°ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê

It looked and felt professional.

I wanted something different to do on Friday night.

I called a few friends and we headed over to the theater to see the production of Midsummer, a nuanced adaptation of Shakespeare’s Midsummer Night’s Dream, written and directed by a °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê professor.  The theater was buzzing with professors, administrators, students, and Hamilton residents.  There were no empty seats.

For many of the actors, this was their first °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê production.  Most had a couple other productions from high school or summer theater under their belt, or perhaps a theater class at °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê.  But it looked and felt professional.  Who thought three dollars could buy such incredible entertainment.

I walked out of there wishing I had become involved in theater at °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê.  But you have to make choices: there isn’t time to do everything.  But there is time, at least, to see or try everything once.
