Holy Cross senior Rusty Guidici, the 2002 Men鈥檚 Soccer Scholar-Athlete of the Year, recorded a 3.57 grade-point average (GPA) during the fall semester and was among the 55 student-athletes named to the 2002 Patriot League Men鈥檚 Soccer Academic Honor Roll, announced today by Carolyn Schlie Femovich, Patriot League Executive Director.
Three men鈥檚 soccer players tallied perfect 4.00 GPAs last semester, including Army junior Mike Harper and Bucknell sophomores Greg Buzzell and Jonathan Hemmert.
To be eligible, a student-athlete must earn a 3.20 grade-point average in the fall semester and be awarded a varsity letter in one of the seven League-sponsored fall championship sports.
A total of 510 student-athletes were named to the League鈥檚 Fall Academic Honor Roll, including 20 with 4.00 GPAs. The Fall Academic Honor Roll includes the sports of men鈥檚 and women鈥檚 cross country, field hockey, football, men鈥檚 and women鈥檚 soccer and volleyball.
Bucknell led the way with 111 candidates on the League鈥檚 Fall Academic Honor Roll. On the Men鈥檚 Soccer Academic Honor Roll, Lafayette captured the most spots with 13 and the Bison finished second with 12
